A raiz de todos os males é a fome, uma força implacável que mina o tecido social. Como africanos, reconhecemos na família o fundamento de nossa existência. Contudo, testemunhamos uma imersão crescente dos jovens em práticas prejudiciais, resultando em um declínio gradual marcado pela morte, insanidade e desintegração dos laços familiares. As drogas, especialmente o álcool e substâncias mais perniciosas, corroem nossos valores, empurrando indivíduos para a desesperança e a criminalidade, pela dependência das mesmas.
A tendência dos jovens de se afastarem do Estado é compreensível diante da falta de oportunidades e serviços básicos como educação, saúde e moradia. Quando o sistema convencional falha, eles recorrem ao ilícito, alimentando um ciclo vicioso de delinquência e exploração.
Porque o próprio Estado já não consegue dar respostas aos seus destinatários, as suas políticas não vão de encontro com as necessidades dos jovens e das populações.
Fazemos um apelo aos mais velhos, aos líderes políticos, empresariais, artísticos, religiosos e educadores e aos líderes tradicionais, para que intervenham. Os modelos atuais são prejudiciais, os modelos atuais são nefastos, inspirando maldade aos jovens, em vez de aspirações positivas, eles são os bem sucedidos, e os jovens querem ser bem sucedidos. Todos devemos agir agora para evitar um futuro sombrio para Angola.
Como caminhamos o que esperam das mulheres e os homens desse pais, com uma juventude assim? Um desespero gritante no interior, a fuga para o exterior, dos quadros e não só, a todo o custo.
Todos já amaram esses pais, ainda podem voltar a lhe demonstrar amor. E Todas as gerações deste povo, vos serão gratas.
É crucial reconhecer que a luta não é entre partidos políticos, mas sim contra a fome e a miséria que assolam a nossa nação. Dirijo-me também aos poucos dentro do MPLA que ainda mantêm sua integridade e discernimento para desencadear esses esforços. A pátria não suplica, mas sim exige aos seus filhos. Como filho desta terra, também vos convoco à ação.
